Do You Like What You See In The Mirror?
When you look in the mirror, what do you see? If you are like 99.9% of people, you will find some imperfections that you are not happy with. Discolorations, dryness, wrinkles, blemishes, cracks in your lips, bumps, sagging…and myriad other things that probably only you see. Just remember, you are beautifully and wonderfully made and what you perceive as imperfections don’t change that fact!
What we see on the outside may be a signal that something on the inside a little off. As I said previously, our skin is like a magic mirror that shows on the outside clues to what is happening on the inside. Most often, just a little tweaking of some lifestyle habits is all it takes to improve what you are seeing.
There are six main areas to focus on and find ways to make some healthier changes to improve what you are seeing on the outside, and, you might find, feeling on the inside! These include:
- Inflammation
- Microbiome disturbance
- Oxidative damage
- Blood sugar issues
- Nutritional deficiencies
- Hormonal imbalances
Most, if not all, of these will take some remediation of your food plan, movement schedule, sleep habits. However, I will be focusing on some environmental factors…namely the ingredients in your skincare products! Many companies make promises of younger looking skin, better complexion, etc, but contain harmful ingredients…not just to your skin, but to the inside of your body as well! In an eight-part series I will discuss ingredients that The Bath Shoppe will never have in our products and why.
